"Google LLC's expansion of its "Gemini" AI brand into hardware products infringes a decades-old trademark registration, a speakers and headphones company said in a new complaint. P2B Trading Co. argued using "Gemini" to market Google's AI-powered speakers will subsume its longstanding brand, leaving consumers linking its products to Google, it said in a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida."

P2B says Google’s use of "Gemini" to market AI-powered speakers and headphones will subsume P2B’s longstanding brand and lead consumers to associate P2B products with Google. A complaint was filed in the US District Court for the Middle District of Florida. P2B asserts that Google previously promised it "has no plans to use Gemini" for audio equipment and software, then used Gemini in speaker and headphone marketing.
