ESR is recalling certain models of the HaloLock wireless power bank due to fire hazards. The recall affects about 24,000 units in the U.S. and nearly 10,000 in Canada. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled power banks and contact ESR for a refund. The devices were sold at various retailers, including Amazon, from September 2023 to July 2025. Reports indicate that the power banks have ignited, resulting in roughly $20,000 in damages, although there were no reported injuries.
The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission warned that ESR is recalling certain models of the HaloLock wireless power bank because they're at risk of overheating and catching on fire.
Users have reported nine instances of a HaloLock igniting, causing about $20,000 in damage. There are no reported injuries.
About 24,000 units are a part of this recall, plus almost 10,000 more in Canada.
