This week we reviewed the latest devices from Valerion,"
"The weeks leading up to the Super Bowl are a popular time to upgrade home theater setups before the big game. One way to do that is Valerion's VisionMaster Max - if you're willing to splurge. "The Valerion VisionMaster Max is a highly capable indoor projector that offers the best image quality I've seen thanks to the dynamic iris and Enhanced Black Level features," contributing reporter Steve Dent discovered."
Valerion's VisionMaster Max uses a triple-laser system and a dynamic iris to produce class-leading image quality and deep blacks. Automatic setup and a refined design complement Dolby Atmos and DTX audio support, but the built-in speakers underperform and the $5,000 price makes it difficult to justify versus rivals unless picture accuracy or gaming performance is essential. The Canon EOS R6 III prioritizes video performance with strong movie-focused features, though its still-photo output does not match the best mirrorless options; Sony's A7 V is cited as a stronger choice for photography.
