Deals: Samsung Galaxy S25 FE launches, is joined by the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra
"Samsung shaved 23g off the weight of the new FE and 0.6mm off the thickness (to 190g and 7.4mm). At the same time, the company increased the battery capacity to 4,900mAh (+200mAh). Not just that, wired charging rate was boosted to 45W (0-65% in 30 min, compared to 0-50% in 30 min on the old FE) and wireless to 25W (up from 25W and 15W, respectively). Also, the regular Exynos 2400 chipset (instead of the 2400e) has higher clock speeds."
"The Poco F7 Ultra is actually cheaper than the S25 FE while offering a Snapdragon 8 Elite. The 50MP telephoto camera on this one is only a 2.5x/60mm unit, but it might still be better than the 8MP 3x/75mm unit on the Samsung. Plus, the 6.67" OLED display has higher resolution (1440p+) and brightness (3,200 nits peak vs. 1,900 nits). The battery is only a bit bigger at 5,300mAh, but it supports both 120W wired and 50W wireless charging."
"Alternatively, you could look at the Galaxy S25+, though it's pricier than the FE (as can be expected). This one weighs the same but is smaller on all other dimensions (158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3mm vs. 161.3 x 76.6 x 7.4mm on the FE). The screen size is the same (6.7"), but the Plus has a higher quality 1440p+ LTPO panel. And it uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite instead of last year's Exynos 2400."
The Galaxy S25 FE went on sale immediately and includes a free storage upgrade from 128GB to 256GB for early buyers. The S25 FE measures 190g and 7.4mm thick, adds a 4,900mAh battery, boosts wired charging to 45W (0–65% in 30 minutes) and wireless charging to 25W, and uses the regular Exynos 2400 with higher clock speeds. The Galaxy S25+ is pricier, slightly smaller in dimensions, keeps a 6.7" screen but upgrades to a 1440p+ LTPO panel and uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Poco F7 Ultra undercuts the S25 FE on price while offering a Snapdragon 8 Elite, a 6.67" 1440p+ OLED with higher peak brightness, a 50MP 2.5x telephoto, a 5,300mAh battery, and faster wired and wireless charging. Offers for the previous Galaxy S24 FE have diminished. Flagship tablets Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra are also available.
