"Samsung dominated the Latin America (LATAM) smartphone scene in 2025, with 4 of the 10 best-selling devices being Galaxy phones. According to the latest Counterpoint Research report, Samsung's Galaxy A06 topped the list as the best-selling smartphone in the region and accounted for 7% of all smartphone sales in the region for the past year. Samsung's Galaxy A16, Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A56 were the other three Galaxy smartphones in the top 10 rankings."
"The other Moto devices in the top ten are the Moto G05, which slots in sixth place, and the Moto G35, which came in eighth. Xiaomi had the fourth ( Redmi 14C), seventh ( Redmi A5) and tenth ( Redmi Note 14 4G) best-selling phones. Another notable fact from the report is that 80% of the top-ten best-selling phones in 2025 were 4G devices."
Samsung led Latin America smartphone sales in 2025, placing four Galaxy models in the top ten and with the Galaxy A06 capturing a 7% share. Galaxy A16, A15 and A56 also ranked among the region’s best-sellers. Motorola placed three models in the top ten, led by Moto G15 in third, with Moto G05 sixth and Moto G35 eighth. Xiaomi occupied three spots with Redmi 14C, Redmi A5 and Redmi Note 14 4G. Eighty percent of top-ten phones were 4G and most had average prices under $200. Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Argentina were the largest markets. Rising global prices in 2026 could extend replacement cycles, lower demand and accelerate 5G adoption.
