"Smartphone users nostalgic for the good old days of the BlackBerry can now relive that experience with the Clicks Communicator. Clicks, the brand behind the Clicks Keyboard for iPhone, announced the new Communicator smartphone ahead of CES 2026. It features a touch-sensitive physical keyboard paired with a 4.03-inch AMOLED display that offers a 1080 x 1200-pixel resolution. The smartphone runs Android 16 with a custom Niagara Launcher, which only offers access to messaging and productivity apps such as WhatsApp, Slack, Telegram, Gmail, and so on."
"It also gets a notification light placed around a button on the right side that's being called the Signal Light. Users can assign different colors and patterns for messages from different apps or contacts. The button can be used to dictate messages via voice or for quick voice notes. As mentioned earlier, the physical keyboard is touch-sensitive and can be used to scroll messages, web pages, and navigate around the interface."

The keyboard supports touch gestures for scrolling and navigation. Hardware includes a 50MP rear camera with OIS, a 24MP front camera, a 4,000mAh silicon-carbon battery with Qi2 wireless charging, 256GB expandable storage, 5G, and a 4nm MediaTek chip. The phone weighs 170g, is 12mm thick, and ships later this year at $499 with a $399 reservation price.
