"First teased at IFA 2025 in September and then officially announced in China earlier this month, Boox's next smartphone-sized e-reader is now coming to the US. Although two versions of the device are available in China, including a black-and-white model called the P6 Pro, it's the Boox P6 Pro Color that's coming to the US where it's called the Boox Palma 2 Pro."
"Pricing for the P6 Pro Color in China is 3,299 CNY, or around $463, but the Palma 2 Pro is now available for preorder through Boox's online store in the US for $399.99, if you order it through one of the company's US-based warehouses, with shipping expected to start in early November. You can also opt to preorder the Palma 2 Pro from one of the company's Hong Kong-based warehouses with shipping expected sometime this month and a price drop to $379.99,"
Boox is bringing the P6 Pro Color to the US as the Palma 2 Pro, available for preorder from US and Hong Kong warehouses with differing prices and shipping estimates. The device features a 6.13-inch Kaleido 3 color E Ink screen with 300ppi for monochrome and 150ppi for color, supporting 4,096 shades. Hardware includes an unnamed octa-core processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage expandable to 2TB via microSD, and optional dual data-only SIM support. The Palma 2 Pro runs Android 15 with Google Play Store access and functions as a pocket-sized e-reader and app platform.
