Anker's powerful new Eufy S2 robot vacuum doubles as an aromatherapy diffuser
"According to the company, the robovac features a built-in "aromatherapy system" with scent options that include bamboo, sage, bergamot, lychee, citrus, and basil. The idea is to perfume your space while the robot cleans, though how noticeable - or welcome - that will be in everyday use remains to be seen. Aside from trying to make your home smell like a spa, the Eufy S2 also is a powerful cleaning machine - at least on paper."
"It's rated for up to 30,000Pa of suction, placing it near the top of the category. While suction alone doesn't tell the whole story, a figure this high suggests the Eufy is designed to handle heavier cleaning jobs, not just basic maintenance. The robot also uses AI-powered obstacle detection and real-time 3D mapping to identify rooms, avoid messes, and steer clear of more than 200 objects, including smaller obstacles like rug tassels."
Anker's Eufy S2 combines vacuuming, mopping, and fragrance delivery in one device with built-in aromatherapy offering bamboo, sage, bergamot, lychee, citrus, and basil scents. The robot delivers up to 30,000Pa of suction and uses AI-powered obstacle detection plus real-time 3D mapping to identify rooms and avoid more than 200 objects, including rug tassels. The roller mop self-cleans up to six times per second using electrolyzed water to help kill bacteria without added chemical cleaners, lifts up to two inches to keep carpets dry, and applies up to 3.3 pounds of downward pressure. A cleaning station refills water, empties the dustbin, and washes and dries mops. The unit is priced at $1,599 with a US presale starting January 6 and wide availability January 20.
