Held earlier this week in Las Vegas, CES always delivers in terms of the hottest new tech you're going to want for your home. Here's what caught our eye and earned Apartment Therapy's "Best in Show" seal - and what you should look for coming to market this year (if it's not available already)."
"We're big fans of the Birdbuddy Pro smart bird feeder (and camera) at AT (read a full review of why it's a great gift for any nature lover in your life). So hearing the brand announced a new-and-improved flagship version 2.0 - as well as a Birdbuddy Mini 2 model - had us very intrigued. Both harness the power of AI to identify species even more accurately as they fly up to your feeder, and they're capable of capturing images and videos for your enjoyment."
"Every year Govee trots out a new assortment of smart lighting solutions, and the Floor Lamp 3 caught our attention this year. This piece looks like a modern art sculpture, and it can also provide a sunshine-mimicking glow - or super vibey lighting to provide a fun, mood-enhancing backdrop for a gallery wall or a movie marathon. One of these would be great in a living room or den."
CES in Las Vegas highlighted new consumer tech focused on smart home convenience, design, and AI-enhanced functionality. Notable products include a GE Profile 27.9-cu.-ft. smart 4-door French-door refrigerator with kitchen-assistant features and Birdbuddy's redesigned Birdbuddy 2 and compact Mini 2 feeders that use AI to identify species and capture images and video. The Birdbuddy 2 is priced at $199 and the Mini at $129, with availability expected midyear. Govee introduced the Floor Lamp 3, a sculptural smart lamp offering sunshine-mimicking and mood lighting. Washer/dryer combo designs emphasize space savings and reducing manual transfer of laundry between machines.
