This June, Beth Schnitzer returned to Union Catholic High School to present the Bette S. Schnitzer Endowed Scholarship in memory of her mother, a remarkable coach and educator. This year's recipient, Evan Florek, embodies the qualities Bette championed. The scholarship was established to honor Bette's dedication to girls' sports and education, reflecting her over 35 years of influence at the school. Accolades such as her induction into the New Jersey Interscholastic Coaches Hall of Fame exemplify her impact in promoting opportunities for girls in athletics.
