
The Over The Water Vintage Club, founded in 2009 in Ballymurn, coordinates gatherings for people who enjoy classic machinery, including vintage tractors, vintage cars, and steam engines. The group also raises funds for charities and has generated in the region of €120,000 since its establishment to support organizations needing financial help. On May 13, the committee held a commemoration in Ballymurn Hall to honour members and devotees for their contributions. Retiring chairman John Redmond presided and welcomed former and incoming chairmen. Plaques were presented to Fr. Jim Finn and other long-serving members, and John Redmond received a tractor and plough statue and a book, along with a Tree of Life plaque for his wife Breda. Refreshments and photography were also acknowledged.

Jim Finn, President since the club's foundation, in the form of a plaque, with Eamonn Nolan, Paddy White and Mick Brooks also receiving plaques."
""Paddy White and Mick Brooks are two stalwarts of the club and have represented it many times over the years and are still going strong," said John. Eamonn Nolan then turned the tide and presented John Redmond with a beautiful 'Genesis' statue of a tractor and plough and a book for his leadership over the years. Eamonn also presented John's wife Breda with a Celtic 'Tree of Life' plaque for her input over the years, all of which were greatly appreciated."
"John thanked everyone for this wonderful and unexpected surprise and wished the Club well in all future endeavorrs and noted that great friendships have been forged in the Club over the years. He then thanked Marie Dempsey and the ladies for the lovely refreshments and Marie Hayes for the photos."
