We did the 12 dips of Christmas in one day up the Dart line from Greystones to Howth
"Discontent with taking 12 dips in one wintry month, the Gavin Glynn Foundation Swim Team came up with a new plan"
"Most people do the popular 12 dips of Christmas challenge across 12 different days. But then there's the Gavin Glynn Foundation Swim Team."
"While the majority of the east coast's population sought refuge from Sunday's incessant rain in the comfort of brunches, lunches, Christmas markets and duvet days, these guys packed up their togs, towels, spare socks, fig rolls, sandwiches, flasks, and rain coats to tackle all of the 12 dips of Christmas in one long, exceedingly damp day."
The Gavin Glynn Foundation Swim Team completed all twelve dips of Christmas in a single long, exceedingly damp day instead of spreading them across twelve days. The team braved persistent east coast rain and packed togs, towels, spare socks, fig rolls, sandwiches, flasks, and rain coats for the challenge. Most people sought refuge in brunches, lunches, Christmas markets, and duvet days, but the team chose to tackle the full challenge at once. The effort combined endurance, camaraderie, and preparation for cold-water swimming conditions during wintry weather.
