A charity softball game will take place on July 20 at Staten Island University Hospital Community Park, supporting Shriners Children's. This inaugural Day of Champions, in partnership with WABC Radio, celebrates New York's first responders while raising funds and awareness for pediatric healthcare. John Sterling and Dwight Gooden will provide commentary. The event includes various activities such as a home run derby, a fastest pitch contest, and a Kid's Zone. Shriners Children's has offered no-cost medical care to over 1.5 million children since 1922, specializing in various treatments.
