
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will run from June 11 with 48 teams competing in 104 matches across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The final match at Met Life Stadium will feature a star-studded halftime performance in a Super Bowl-style format for the first time in World Cup history. The show will be produced in collaboration with the anti-poverty nonprofit Global Citizen and will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, aiming to raise $100 million to help children access education and soccer. Chris Martin curated the performance, with Madonna, BTS, and Shakira among the lineup. Shakira will also provide vocals for the official World Cup song “Dai Dai” featuring Burna Boy.
