The event honors Sarah Hammond, who died in a tragic accident at 24 years old, and was organized by her friends and family. This year's proceeds specifically aid Hope Pearce, a dedicated participant who has been battling sarcoma cancer for a decade and lacks NHS coverage for her treatment. Since its inception, the run has raised over 100,000 for various health initiatives, primarily benefiting Barts Charity.
