On June 7, a 26-mile trek in the Chiltern Hills raised £577,000 for the Roundhouse's youth programme, which supports young people aged 11-30 in creative fields. Participated by 150 walkers, including Roundhouse's chair Simon Turner and a sizable contribution from Inflexion Foundation, the fundraising event encouraged community spirit. Young trustees like Antonia Kazmeier shared their experiences of empowerment through the Roundhouse, further emphasizing the importance of such creative venues in nurturing artistic development and offering significant opportunities for youth engagement.
"The Chiltern's trek was an incredible experience, it was definitely a challenge, but thanks to the great company along the way it was really enjoyable and we got each other through the rainy lows of the day."
"There was a great, elevating sense of joy on the day, because we all knew that every step we took we were funding a young person to take part in the incredible offerings at the Roundhouse."
