Ripple's RLUSD Grant Results Show How $25M Reached US Classrooms
"The majority of the $25 million was delivered in RLUSD, Ripple's U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, making this one of the largest stablecoin grants to nonprofits in history, and a practical demonstration that crypto-native philanthropy can operate at real scale."
Ripple reported first-year results from a $25 million education commitment delivered to classrooms across the United States. Most of the funding was distributed in RLUSD, Ripple’s U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin. DonorsChoose received $15 million to fund 48,108 classroom projects across all 50 states, with teachers requesting books, science kits, technology, and supplies. Ripple said 86% of funded projects served schools where more than half of students come from low-income households. U.S.-based employees directed $25,700 to 378 projects at 336 schools. Teach For America expanded stipends, tutoring, and blockchain education for students nationwide.
