Plant sale funds future growth for Wexford gardeners
The Ramsgrange Horticulture Society held its annual plant sale at the Tunnel at the Family Resource Centre, drawing locals and people from nearby parishes. The event featured a colourful display of locally grown plants and flowers. The sale also served as a social gathering for attendees. Long-time member May Cadogan said the society uses proceeds from the plant sale to fund and grow stock for the following year. She described joining because of a love for gardening and the outdoors and said she has been involved for over 15 years. She noted that attendees start the morning with coffees from Ramsgrange Community Café, meet new friends, and take trips to gardens around the country. She added that attending is worthwhile even for those not interested in gardening.
"The sale is not only about the locally grown plants and flowers, but the people who attend and the social aspect of it all."
