"The American premiere of Di Prodigal Pickney by Jamaican theatre legend Oliver Samuels will raise funds for hurricane relief in Jamaica. "Damarr Williams said the play will continue on the following weekend in Jamaica, Queens, New York (Springfield Gardens High School) on Friday, Nov. 21; Hartford, Connecticut (Thomas Weaver High School) on Saturday, Nov. 22; and the Bronx, New York (Harry S. Truman High School) on Sunday, Nov. 23. The tour will conclude with the final performance on Sunday, Dec. 7, in Beltsville, Maryland, at High Point High School."

Oliver Samuels' Di Prodigal Pickney had its American premiere to raise funds for hurricane relief in Jamaica. Initial performances occurred Nov. 14 in Bridgeport, CT; Nov. 15 in Brooklyn, NY; and Nov. 16 in East Orange, NJ. Additional shows were scheduled Nov. 21 in Jamaica, Queens; Nov. 22 in Hartford, CT; and Nov. 23 in the Bronx, NY. The tour concluded with a final performance on Dec. 7 in Beltsville, Maryland. New Jersey-based producer Patrick M. Reid redirected part of the tour's proceeds to hurricane recovery after Category Five Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica on Oct. 28, with donations designated for the Jamaica Organization of New Jersey and Westwood High School.
