Flavor Flav Launches GoFundMe for US Women's Olympic Medalists
"Many of y'all asked how you can support and donate to our female athletes and the celebrations, so I created a GoFundMe. I'm hopeful this can have an impact beyond the weekend and help those that represent the best of the US."
"These athletes dedicate countless hours to their training and competition, often while juggling second and third jobs just to make ends meet. They deserve to be celebrated and supported for their achievements, not just on the field but in their everyday lives."
"It's all about women's sports, baby. Flav extended the invitation to all female US Olympic and Paralympic medalists alongside the US bobsled and skeleton team, for whom he served as the official sponsor and hype man at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics."
Flavor Flav created a GoFundMe campaign to support female US Olympic and Paralympic athletes, extending beyond his planned Las Vegas celebration from July 16-19. The campaign aims to raise $50,000, with funds supporting both the "She Got Game" weekend event and direct assistance to invited athletes. According to the campaign description, many female athletes work multiple jobs while training and competing, deserving recognition and support beyond their athletic achievements. As of publication, nearly $20,000 had been raised. Flav's initiative began after he offered to celebrate the US women's gold medal hockey team, later expanding to include all female Olympic and Paralympic medalists, as well as bobsled and skeleton teams.
