
Stage Four of Rás Tailteann will return to Baltinglass for the first time since 2016 on Saturday, May 23. The route begins in Carlow and covers 141.6 km before riders arrive in Baltinglass between 2pm and 3pm. The stage is expected to be among the toughest of the 2026 race and is important for the overall standings. Tommy Doyle encourages people to line the streets and welcome the riders, and thanks supporters who helped bring the finish to Baltinglass. The final stage the next day will finish in Dunboyne and determine the overall winner. Baltinglass also hosted a Darkness into Light walk on May 9 at 4.15am in Baltinglass Park to raise funds for Pieta, with local businesses and services supporting the event.
