
The Lap of the Gap Marathon and Glen to Glen Half-marathon welcomed participants from across Ireland and other countries. The event featured beautiful weather, strong spirits, and refreshments at the Brockagh Resource Centre. The race, created in 2016, is a road event designed to deliver trail-run benefits through scenic views and a challenging, memorable course in the Wicklow Mountains National Park, supporting Glendalough AC. A Pilgrim Walk series marks St. Kevin’s Day on Saturday June 6th, 2026, offering seven route choices that merge along the way. Walkers coordinate with group leaders for route details and finish around 2pm with a shared refreshments gathering at Brockagh Resource Centre. Avondale GAA runs an inclusive program for children focused on fun and social inclusion. Laragh and Glendalough Tidy Towns provided funds to Cluain Ban Residents Association for ongoing gardening and maintenance work.
