Around the Districts: Banteer and Kilbrin
Rás Tailteann Stage 2 will conclude in Banteer village on Thursday 21 May. Traffic restrictions will be in place from approximately 2pm, and people with dogs are asked to keep them indoors while the race passes. No parking will be available along Clonmeen Road and Main Street on the day. Parking at the Sportsfield/Park area is limited to team cars, officials, motor cycles, and team mentors. Visitors are asked to use the car park near the graveyard, the car park at Banteer Community Centre/Astro, and some approach roads. Cork County Council, IRD Duhallow, local sponsors, and local representatives are thanked for support, and Gardaí will implement the traffic management plan. Refreshments will be available during the race and at Banteer Sportsfield Café after the race. A fundraiser table quiz for the Irish Lung Fibrosis Association will be held on 29 May in Crowley’s bar, Gortroe, with a €20 team entry.
