"What a night of hurling! Prior to this evening we had only ever won two Rackard League hurling titles, both in Roinn B. We were beaten finalists in 92/93, our very first title followed in 1994 (program attached) and our next in 1996. This evening bridged a 30 year wait for a hurling title when the boys were crowned Rackard League Champions, however they made us wait for the title after the full time whistle saw the sides level in a low scoring game, with our boys 3 points down at half"
