Ahead of that birthday party, musician and composer Anoushka Shankar is curating a special benefit at Union Chapel on Tuesday 4 November. The Union Chapel evening will feature music, performances, poetry, comedy and spoken word from Nitin Sawhney, Poppy Ajudha, MoYah, Denise Gough, Elif Shafak, Nish Kumar and Shaparak Khorsandi. Anoushka Shankar has been associated with Choose Love since its founding and will use the event to raise desperately needed funds. One hundred percent of profits will go to Choose Love to support displaced people and refugees worldwide.
