Paris Saint-Germain 4-1 Lille: Ligue 1 leaders hit four first-half goals in rout - Soccer News
Briefly

Paris Saint-Germain solidified their position as front-runners for the Ligue 1 title with a commanding 4-1 victory over Lille. The match showcased their offensive prowess, with all goals scored during the first half. Bradley Barcola opened the scoring early, followed by goals from Marquinhos, Ousmane Dembele, and a stunning strike from Desire Doue, leaving Lille in a difficult position. This win not only increased PSG's point tally but also marked a historical achievement of scoring four first-half goals, a feat they hadn't accomplished since 2018.
Marquinhos doubled their lead by bundling home in the 22nd minute, and just six minutes later, Dembele added a third to all but wrap up the points.
PSG have now scored at least four goals in the first half of 12 Ligue 1 matches since the beginning of the Qatar Sports Investments era.
With Doue's goal coming in the 37th minute, this was the first time PSG had scored four goals by that stage of a Ligue 1 match since April 2018.
Only Inter (17) have had more different scorers in one of Europe's top five leagues in 2024-25.
