Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon killed journalist Amal Khalil while she was covering an event. Khalil and photographer Zeinab Faraj were targeted after seeking shelter in a house. Rescuers faced obstacles, including a sound grenade and live ammunition, preventing them from reaching Khalil. She was later found dead under rubble. The Israeli military claimed the strikes were in response to perceived threats from Hezbollah. Two individuals were reported killed in the initial strike on their vehicle.
