
France's Interministerial Directorate for Digital Affairs (DINUM) will transition from Windows to Linux desktops to lessen reliance on American technology. This decision was announced during a seminar aimed at promoting sovereign technologies. Minister David Amiel emphasized the need for the state to regain control over its digital tools. DINUM plans to develop a videoconferencing platform called 'Visio' to further this goal. Additionally, all French ministries will be required to adopt non-American technology across various digital tools and systems.
