Veron Mosengo-Omba resigned as Secretary General of CAF, citing a desire to focus on personal projects. His resignation follows Senegal being stripped of their AFCON title, with Morocco declared champions. Mosengo-Omba expressed peace of mind in leaving CAF, which he believes is more prosperous. CAF president Dr. Patrice Motsepe acknowledged Mosengo-Omba's contributions and stated that Samson Adamu will serve as interim Secretary General. CAF is also implementing changes to its statutes and regulations.
