A national holiday honoring the storming of the Bastille in 1789 featured a military tribute at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The large procession took place along the Champs-Elysées with over 7,000 personnel, various armoured vehicles, and fighter jet flyovers. This year, Indonesia served as the official guest of honour amidst ongoing discussions of defence agreements with France. Evening celebrations will include a spectacular fireworks display and a drone light show at the Eiffel Tower.
