At 4 a.m. today, MSF's hospital in Old Fangak, South Sudan, was bombed. The pharmacy was destroyed. All medical supplies lost. There are reports of people killed and injured.
Mamman Mustapha, MSF's head of mission in Sudan, condemned the destruction of the hospital, calling it the only source of lifesaving care for over 40,000 people.
Attacks on medical facilities are unacceptable and a clear violation of international humanitarian law, according to MSF.
Biel Boutros Biel stated that the attacks were carried out by a drone and a plane belonging to the government of South Sudan.
