Ineos Grenadiers make first signing of the summer as Dorian Godon pens three-year deal
Briefly

Dorian Godon, a 29-year-old French puncheur and the current national road race champion, will join Ineos Grenadiers on a three-year contract beginning in 2026. Godon leaves Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale after seven seasons and brings wins including Brabantse Pijl (2023), two Tour de Romandie stage victories (2024), Giro del Veneto and two Paris-Camembert titles. Godon secured the national title in June, beating Romain Grégoire and Kévin Vauquelin. He cited the team's aggressive, united racing and recent stage-hunting heroics as inspiration. Performance director Scott Drawer described Godon as a smart, decisive winner with robustness and finishing speed.
Signing a multi-year deal is a real show of trust, which I value deeply. This feels like the start of an exciting new chapter in my career, and I'm ready to make the most of it," he said.
I want to make the French champion's jersey - and the moustache - shine. The past few months I've watched the team racing with strength and unity in the bunch, and that's really inspired me. I can't wait to be a part of that," Godon added.
Dorian is a smart, decisive winner with the robustness to shape hard races and the speed to finish them off.
