An autopsy into the death of French streamer Raphael Graven found the death was not due to trauma, the prosecutor said. Graven, known online as Jean Pormanove, was found dead in his home near Nice during a livestream. Prosecutor Damien Martinelli said medical examiners believe the death was not traumatic in origin and not related to the intervention of a third party. Forensic doctors found no internal or external traumatic injuries or burns, only a few bruises and healed lesions. Probable causes appear medical and/or toxicological. Further tests were ordered; investigators seized equipment and videos, and interviewed people present. Local media reported prior violence and sleep deprivation during streams.
An autopsy into the death of French streamer Raphael Graven has found it was not due to trauma, according to the prosecutor handling the case. The streamer, known online as Jean Pormanove, was found dead in his home near Nice on Monday. He was known for controversial live videos on the streaming platform Kick - leading French government minister Clara Chappaz to describe his death as an "absolute horror" on Monday when she launched a judicial investigation into the circumstances surrounding it.
But prosecutor Damien Martinelli said on Thursday medical examiners believed Mr Graven's death "was not traumatic in origin". He added it was also "not related to the intervention of a third party". He said forensic doctors had found no "internal or external traumatic injuries" or burns, only a few bruises and healed lesions. "The probable causes of death appear to be medical and/or toxicological," he said.
