Mamman Mustapha, MSF’s head of mission in Sudan, condemned 'the destruction of our hospital' and emphasized that it had been 'the only source of lifesaving care for over 40,000 people.'
The attack on the hospital is a clear violation of international humanitarian law, according to MSF, which stated that such assaults on medical facilities are unacceptable.
Biel Boutros Biel, a Fangak County official, noted the attacks were carried out by a drone and a plane, alleged to belong to the South Sudanese government.
