"UNO Pizzeria & Grill has closed its locations in Dedham, Revere, and Braintree after more than three decades in business, according to announcements posted to the restaurant's Facebook page. The three locations closed on Sunday, Jan. 11. The Dedham location had served the community for 37 years, Revere for 34 years, and Braintree for 33 years. "It's been an incredible journey, Dedham," the company wrote in a Facebook post announcing the location's closure."
""Given market forces such as rising food costs, taxes, rents and labor costs along with consumers changing dining habits, we had to take a hard internal look at all of our locations and close a few locations that were running tight margins," the statement said. "We are very proud to have multiple locations that have spanned three decades of servicing Massachusetts diners with Deep Dish Pizza and the best food around.""
UNO Pizzeria & Grill closed its Dedham, Revere, and Braintree locations on Jan. 11 after operating in those communities for 37, 34, and 33 years respectively. Facebook posts from the restaurants thanked customers and invited patrons to visit other UNO locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The chain also closed its last Rhode Island location in Warwick. Management reviewed its restaurant lineup and decided to close several long-standing but underperforming restaurants because of rising food costs, taxes, rents, labor costs, and changing consumer dining habits. Three Massachusetts locations remain open in Attleboro, Bellingham, and Worcester.
