Travelers recorded 173 mentions per 100,000 hotel reviews, 1,134 mentions per 100,000 restaurant comments, 390 mentions per 100,000 landmark comments, and 403 mentions per 100,000 park and nature attraction comments. Mentions of romance in Rhode Island hotels were more than 50 percent above the national average, and mentions in its nature and park attractions were more than 93 percent over the national average. Key romantic draws include Newport's historic castles, charming lighthouses, New England beaches, Providence's inventive food scene, and a high concentration of inns and bed-and-breakfasts.
