London's taco scene has improved with a new wave of quality taquerias and will soon gain a US import. Velvet Taco will open its first UK outlet in November at the former Shoryu Ramen site in Broadgate Circle. The chain operates over 50 US branches in cities including Chicago and Austin and features globally inspired, unconventional tacos such as spicy tikka chicken, bacon smash burger and fish and chips. Menu additions include sides like red curry coconut queso and brisket nachos and cocktails such as margaritas. An earlier planned Piccadilly Circus location did not proceed.
