There's a Formula 1 car in Grand Central right now-here's how to see it today for free
"On race day, Formula One cars speed by as a blur, whether you're watching on TV or in person. Now, you can get an up-close look at one of these incredible machines because an Aston Martin F1 vehicle is parked inside Grand Central Terminal. It's there as part of a collaboration between the Aston Martin Formula One Team and Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky, two iconic UK brands."
"Plus, since you won't actually be driving the race car, you can partake in some booze. Visitors can sample a limited-edition Glenfiddich 16-year-old neat or in signature cocktails. The alcohol was made by combining three different types of casks-a mix of American oak wine casks, new American barrels and second-fill bourbon casks. Their different properties meld to create honey-sweet-vanilla flavors in each sip, as well as notes of fruit and spices."
An Aston Martin Formula One car is displayed inside Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall as part of a collaboration with Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The free pop-up runs on September 24 from 3–8pm and features a replica of Fernando Alsonso's race car and an interactive light-chaser-type reflex game. Visitors can sample the limited-edition Glenfiddich 16-year-old neat or in signature cocktails; the spirit blends American oak wine casks, new American barrels and second-fill bourbon casks for honey-sweet vanilla, fruit and spice notes. A bag customization station, samplings at Grand Brasserie and Campbell, and complimentary bottle engravings at Central Cellars accompany the activation.
