The Spurstowe Arms Team Is Opening Another East London Pub
"A makeover of the site (including a lick of paint and the addition of many candles) is planned for January but the pub will be opening at the end of November so as to not miss out on all the festive fun. The drinks offering is tight but varied - there's pet nat, orange and light red bottles amongst the European wine list alongside classic cocktails, beers, ciders and softies."
"The Elderfield does have a kitchen but in an effort to get open this side of Christmas, the team will just be serving cheese plates, featuring Corra Linn, Pevensey Blue, Baron Bigod, baguette and chutney, to go with the wines. Given that Dough Hands is the incredibly popular resident over at the Spurstowe, we're very interested to see who gets drafted in for the Clapton kitchen."
The Spurstowe Arms is opening a second pub, The Elderfield, in Clapton with doors opening at the end of November and a formal makeover planned for January. The site will receive a lick of paint and many candles as part of the refresh. The drinks list focuses on a tight but varied selection, including pet nat, orange and light red bottles among a European wine list, plus classic cocktails, beers, ciders and soft drinks. Food will be limited initially to cheese plates featuring Corra Linn, Pevensey Blue and Baron Bigod with baguette and chutney. The opening date is 29 November 2025 and the address is 57 Elderfield Rd, London E5 0LF.
