"Maybe you got really into vermouth on your last Spanish holiday? Or maybe you love a martini and want to learn more about one of its key ingredients? We've got just the thing for you. We're hosting a vermouth tasting and gilda making masterclass with award-winning, B Corp distillery 58 and CO in Haggerston on Thurs 19th March, just ahead of World Vermouth Day."
"58 and CO founder Carmen O'Neal, aka Cocktail Carmen (who you'll have seen on Saturday Kitchen), will be leading the masterclass. She'll guide you through different styles of vermouth, from crisp and dry to sweet, which you'll get to taste both on its own and in a cocktail. And because nothing pairs better with vermouth than a gilda, you'll also get to make your own version of the Basque bite using olives, anchovies and peppers."
An hour-long vermouth tasting and gilda-making masterclass will take place on Thursday 19th March 2026 from 7pm to 8pm at 58 and CO in Haggerston. Carmen O'Neal, founder of 58 and CO, will lead guided tastings of dry, crisp and sweet vermouths, plus mini cocktails. Participants will make a Basque-style gilda with olives, anchovies and peppers. Tickets cost £35 and include the tasting, mini cocktails and gilda making. The bar will be open from 6pm to 9pm for negronis and other drinks. INSIDERS can book and non-members can join for £2 monthly.
