In-N-Out Burger opened a Ridgefield location 20 miles north of Portland, Oregon, and opened two hours early to accommodate long lines. A longtime customer, Michele Bukieda, said she had always wished the chain would come to Washington and celebrated the opening. Hundreds of customers lined up, some overnight; Kevin Kehn drove 126 miles and waited with his dog. The restaurant is managed by 26-year In-N-Out veteran Clint Ford and employs about 80 workers. The site features one drive-through lane, indoor seating for 73, a covered patio for 28, and regular hours from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
"I'm almost 74 years old [and] have always wished they would come to Washington, wish granted, thanks In-N-Out for making an old girls wish come true!"
"We're happy to know we fulfilled your wish, Michele!"
"It's long-time customers like yourself who have made us the company we are today."
"I travel a lot for work. So anytime there is an In-N-Out Burger in the area, I always stop there,"
