"The grocery store chain announced the forthcoming closure Jan. 26 in a press statement, citing "changing market dynamics and infrastructure limitations at the site." Staff members will transition to work at other locations, including their nearby Burlingame store, one of six in the chain. "We are incredibly grateful to the San Mateo community and to our loyal customers who have shopped with us week after week. Unfortunately, as our lease expires, we reached the difficult conclusion that we could no longer sustain operations at this location," said owner and CEO Mike Stone."
