
"The nuts were sold under the Wegmans brand. Wegmans is a popular chain of grocery stores in the eastern United States. The nuts were manufactured by Mellace Family Brands California, Inc. of Warren, Ohio, which initiated the voluntary recall. According to the notice, testing found that some raw pistachios used in the mixed nuts products had the possibility of being contaminated with Salmonella, a potentially deadly bacterium. Wegmans has also posted a recall notice for the products on its website."

FDA posted a notice on December 5 announcing a recall of two Wegmans Deluxe Mixed Nuts Unsalted products manufactured by Mellace Family Brands California, Inc. of Warren, Ohio. Mellace initiated a voluntary recall after testing indicated some raw pistachios used in the mixed nuts may have been contaminated with Salmonella, a potentially deadly bacterium. The recalled items include 34 oz tubs (UPC 077890421314, Lot 58041, best by July 28, 2026) and 11.5 oz bags (UPC 077890421352, Lot 58171, best by Aug 10, 2026). The products were sold between November 3 and December 1, 2025, at Wegmans stores.
