Michael Mina Confirms Return of Bourbon Steak to Westin St. Francis, Plus New Cocktail Bar by Steph Curry

Michael Mina's Bourbon Steak will return to the Westin St. Francis lobby space in October after a year of hotel renovations. The Mina Group previously operated an eponymous fine dining restaurant there from 2004 and converted it to Bourbon Steak in 2010; both Bourbon Steak and the Clock Bar closed prior to the pandemic. The lobby has been gutted and reconfigured to Mina's specifications, featuring a grand central bar in the main room. The hotel entrance appears to have shifted to Geary Street while the restaurant will use the Powell Street doors. A Steph Curry-backed cocktail spot will replace a former wine bar.

Now, as the group tells us in a release and as the Chronicle reports, Mina and his team have confirmed the return of Bourbon Steak to the St. Francis in October, though it sounds like the shape and footprint of the restaurant will be much different than when it closed six years ago.
