Lucinda O'Sullivan's restaurant review: 'This new spot is right up my alley - showcasing the spiciest cuisine in China'
"As we enter the Chinese New Year of the Horse today, the veritable gallop of Ryon Wen and Ian Keegan, the business duo behind some of Dublin's most interesting Chinese restaurants, continues apace with the opening of China Hunan in D6 Ranelagh, less than 12 months after the opening of their glamorous Bond-esque China Song in Monkstown."
"With seven restaurants currently in their IR Entertainment portfolio, including Bullet, Biang Biang, Hakkahan, Nan and Little Dumping, they also plan to open a Hot Pot restaurant next door to China Hunan and to convert Nan into a Hong Kong-style cafe."
"The new China Hunan, the latest biz in Ryon Wen and Ian Keegan's stable, has arrived just in time for Chinese Year of the Horse, writes our critic"
China Hunan opened in D6 Ranelagh timed to coincide with the Chinese New Year of the Horse. Ryon Wen and Ian Keegan operate the restaurant as part of their IR Entertainment portfolio. The opening follows their glamorous Bond-esque China Song in Monkstown less than twelve months earlier. IR Entertainment currently comprises seven restaurants, including Bullet, Biang Biang, Hakkahan, Nan and Little Dumping, plus China Song and China Hunan. Plans include opening a Hot Pot restaurant next door to China Hunan and converting Nan into a Hong Kong-style cafe. The duo continues rapid expansion of Chinese dining options across Dublin.
