Locanda Wine Bar - Review - Livermore - San Francisco - The Infatuation
"If you aren't lucky enough to have a wealthy friend with an Italian villa and a top-tier wine collection, this spot is the next best thing. Like its sister location in Pleasanton, the outdoor space, with a tasting bar, barrel tables, and large umbrellas, is our favorite place in Livermore to enjoy a glass or two when it's nice outside."
"The indoor space also channels the feeling of a Tuscan vineyard, with black-and-white woven chairs and barstools and large paintings of sprawling vineyards. The wine list includes both local bottles and imported Italian ones, and the menu is a bit more scaled back than Locanda's other locations, and skews toward the lighter side. Don't skip the San Daniele pinsa, topped with peppery arugula and prosciutto, or the lemony branzino."
An outdoor tasting area features a bar, barrel tables, and large umbrellas, providing a favored alfresco spot for wine on pleasant days. The indoor dining room channels a Tuscan vineyard with black-and-white woven chairs, barstools, and expansive vineyard paintings. The wine list offers both local bottles and imported Italian selections. The menu is somewhat scaled back compared with other locations and emphasizes lighter dishes. Recommended savory items include the San Daniele pinsa topped with peppery arugula and prosciutto, and a lemony branzino. Dessert pairs well with a glass of dessert wine and creamy panna cotta with mango puree.
