""We are incredibly proud of the team for this incredible recognition of all their hard work and dedication," chef-owner Kyle Connaughton said in an email to The Press Democrat Friday. "It's such an honor to receive this title in France and to see 'Healdsburg' listed amongst some of the most famous and influential culinary cities of the world. It really speaks to the level of products, artisans, farmers and winemakers that we have here in Sonoma.""
"The other eight restaurants that secured the top position are spread across seven countries in Europe and Asia. Founded a decade ago, La Liste compiles its rankings from over 1,000 sources, including national and regional media, expert guides and digital platforms such as customer review sites. The platform's website and app feature aggregated reviews of more than 40,000 restaurants, 3,000 pastry shops and 7,000 hotels in more than 200 countries."
Healdsburg's Single Thread shared the No. 1 position among 10 restaurants in La Liste's 2026 Top 1,000 Restaurants, marking a second consecutive year at the highest rank. The three-Michelin-starred restaurant is owned and operated by Kyle and Katina Connaughton. Le Bernardin in New York was the only other U.S. restaurant to share the top spot. The remaining top-ranked restaurants are located across Europe and Asia. La Liste aggregates rankings from over 1,000 sources and includes reviews of more than 40,000 restaurants, 3,000 pastry shops and 7,000 hotels worldwide. La Liste positions global taste as having no single capital.
