"But it's not just us - Reese's is clearly getting into the spirit, too. The brand started rolling out its holiday candies, and this month, in addition to bringing back those beloved Christmas trees, it's also launching new Unwrapped Mini Trees. I rushed to three different grocery retailers before I could get my hands on a bright-orange bag. Here's how they compare to the O.G."
"I really couldn't wait to try these mini chocolate trees, so on my walk home from the store, I ripped into the bag and popped one straight into my mouth. Wonderful! To be fair, they don't really taste all that different from the original Reese's cup (more on that in a minute). But I'm a sucker for novelty, and its cuteness adds an extra layer of flavor in all the ways that it counts."
Reese's introduced foil-free, bite-size Unwrapped Mini Pumpkins in late summer and later applied the same unwrapped format to holiday Mini Trees. The Unwrapped Mini Trees are tree-shaped milk chocolate and peanut butter cups sold in 2.2-ounce and 7.6-ounce resealable bags at major retailers through January. The mini trees closely resemble the original Reese's cup flavor while offering a novel, festive shape and convenient resealable packaging. The ratio of chocolate to peanut butter in the minis favors slightly more peanut butter, and the milk chocolate remains sweet and creamy, delivering the familiar Reese's taste in a smaller, seasonal format.
