Gwyneth Paltrow brings her healthy Goop Kitchen meals to the Bay Area
"Actress-entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow, founder of the wellness and lifestyle brand called Goop, has expanded her culinary concept Goop Kitchen to the Bay Area, using a delivery-only service from ghost kitchens. The menu promises chef-crafted dishes made according to the company's clean standards with no processed sugars, seed oils, gluten or dairy. The first entrees, bowls and salads were prepared Monday in San Jose, at a kitchen north of downtown that houses 20-plus restaurant concepts under one roof."
"That 949 Ruff Drive site offers delivery to addresses in downtown, Japantown, Little Portugal, Midtown, Willow Glen, the Rose Garden and parts of North San Jose, Alum Rock, Little Saigon and Fruitdale/West San Jose. Goop Kitchen will expand Nov. 17 to Sunnyvale, with orders being prepped and cooked at a kitchen at 1026 W. Evelyn Ave. Both pickup and delivery will be offered. Besides drop-offs to Sunnyvale and Cupertino addresses, Goop will deliver to parts of Mountain View and Santa Clara."
Goop launched Goop Kitchen in the Bay Area using delivery-only ghost kitchens and a menu adhering to clean standards: no processed sugars, seed oils, gluten, or dairy. Initial entrees, bowls and salads were prepared Monday at a San Jose ghost kitchen on 949 Ruff Drive that houses more than 20 concepts and delivers to downtown and nearby neighborhoods. The operation will expand to Sunnyvale on Nov. 17 with pickup and delivery, and to San Francisco's SoMa on Dec. 8. Menu highlights include Turkey Bolognese, gluten-free pastas and pizzas, salads, seasonal specials, roasted chicken entrees, sides, and gluten-free desserts.
