Grand Central is turning into an F1 playground with cocktails and a race car
"Grand Central Terminal has seen its fair share of spectacles, but next week, it's swapping the daily commuter hustle for the high-octane glamour of Formula One-and yes, there will be whisky. On September 23 and 24, from 3 to 8 pm, Vanderbilt Hall will morph into a mash-up of racetrack energy and cocktail culture thanks to Glenfiddich and the Aston Martin Formula One Team. The immersive pop-up celebrates the launch of Glenfiddich's limited-edition 16-Year-Old single malt Scotch, a bottle inspired by the precision and performance of Aston Martin."
"The fun doesn't stop there: Grand Central's Grand Brasserie and Campbell Bar will also be serving tastings and Central Cellars will offer complimentary bottle engraving with purchases of the new whisky. The Scotch itself is no slouch. Crafted from a mix of American oak wine casks, new American barrels and second-fill bourbon casks, it comes with tasting notes of maple syrup, caramelized ginger and Chantilly cream. "It combines craftsmanship and precision in a whisky that invites exploration and discovery," added Brian Kinsman, Glenfiddich's malt master."
A two-day immersive pop-up will take place September 23–24, 3–8 pm, in Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central, hosted by Glenfiddich and the Aston Martin Formula One Team. Guests aged 21 and up can sample the new limited-edition Glenfiddich 16-Year-Old single malt neat or in cocktails, try a Formula One-style Batak challenge, and view a full-scale Aston Martin F1 replica. Pop-up bars will serve complimentary drinks and a customization station will provide branded swag. Grand Brasserie, Campbell Bar, and Central Cellars will offer additional tastings and complimentary bottle engraving with purchase. Admission is free.
